Joe Beevers

Beevers was born on December 9th, 1967, in London. Like McEvoy, he got an early start. Unlike most parents, Beevers father introduced him into the gambling world through card counting. Not for poker, but for black jack. At a young age, Beevers realized that his only path to success lay in the hands of his passion-gambling in the form of card games. So at 16, he dropped out of school and followed in his father’s card playing footsteps. In no time, Joe Beevers was making a real name for himself and a real career, too as he mastered in the many forms of poker. Teaming up with the Boatman brothers and a few other poker players, Beevers created an amazing team that incorporates acting into the game, using their previous skills to master the complex game of poker.

Peter Eastgate

If you’ve never heard of him, that’s a bit strange. Eastgate is practically dominating the world of poker today, raking in more earnings than men twice his age. I can say twice his age because Peter eastgate is a meager 23 years old! He was born on December 14th in Denmark, and even though he didn’t have as much time as his opponents to learn the trade, he’s still managed to do reasonably well for himself. Even though he’s young and still making a name out of himself, most professional poker watchers can agree that he’s making a great initial impression. He’s already made over $9,000,000 in tournament earnings, and he’s not about to stop anytime soon. He’s the youngest world series winner, and to that I have to say poker players don’t need to be envious, but should begin to eagerly take notes. Watch what he does just as much as you watch any other poker player out there. He’s young, but he’s worth paying attention to, and according to his earnings, Peter Eastgate has a lot to teach the world of poker players.

Greg Raymer

You can’t miss a guy like Raymer, or his 60’s inspired sunglasses. He was born in North Dakota on June 25th, 1964. Unlike McEvoy, even with a great career as a lawyer, Raymer wanted to make a little money on the side playing poker. His rise was quick and largely noticed, just as much as his yellow tinted sunglasses. Raymer is not easily beat, and is also one of the many living proofs that poker can get you more than just debt. At 45, he’s still making millions off the game, and travels to tournaments alongside McEvoy and a few other poker champs, making large money and placing hope in the hearts of every gambler in the country. For those who want to take poker notes, all you would need to do is take one good look at Greg Raymer. After watching just one game he’s in, after noticing his characteristics and taking in the way he masters the trade, most people aspiring to make a living off poker will be able to channel what makes Raymer so amazing and contribute it to their style of poker playing. Raymer is also proof that poker is a form of gambling that requires more skill than anything else.

Tom McEvoy

McEvoy was born on November 14th, 1944, in Michigan. It’s no surprise that he’s one of the world’s greatest poker players, seeing as he started the trade not too long after he was potty-trained. In the 1970’s, McEvoy’s job loss was the Poker world’s gain. When he was laid off from an accountant job, he decided to do what every man in this country wishes they could do–he decided to make a career out of his hobby. Turning his passion into fame and fortune, he began going to tournaments. Like Hollywood, California is to starving actors, Las Vegas, Nevada was the hotspot for gamblers. Tommy McEvoy moved to Las Vegas, where he pursues his career in poker. He’s made history more than once, and although he’s at an later stage in life, age doesn’t stop him from continuing to play a game he loves. At 65, he’s still going strong, and when McEvoy isn’t playing poker, mastering new ways to beat his opponents, he’s writing books about poker, so the newcomers of the trade can at least attempt to be as good a player as he. You can get his books at Amazon.
